Frequently asked questions

You can register in two ways: with an email address and password, or directly with a Google account.

With email registration we send a confirmation message to your address. The account becomes active only once you have clicked the confirmation link in the message — after that you can sign in with the credentials you created. Google sign-in needs no separate confirmation, because Google has already verified your address.

Confirmation ensures the address is yours and working. That way message notifications about your trades reliably reach you, and no one can create an account with another person's email address.

First check your spam and promotions folders — the confirmation message comes from info@marjakori.fi with Marjakori in the subject line.

If you can't find the message, you can request a new confirmation link on the sign-in page. The link is valid for 24 hours, and you can always request a new one to replace an expired one. If the message still doesn't arrive after several attempts, contact us via the feedback form.

Your address already has an account — perhaps from an earlier registration. No new account was created and nothing changed. Here's how to proceed:

• You remember your password: sign in as usual.
• You forgot your password: use the password reset on the sign-in page. The reset link is delivered to your email.
• You never confirmed your address: request a new confirmation link on the sign-in page and click the link in the message.

Click password reset on the sign-in page and enter your email address. You will receive a reset link that is valid for 30 minutes. Setting a new password also signs you in.

Marjakori is a listing platform where wild-produce pickers sell berries and mushrooms directly to buyers. It is free to use. We are not a party to the trade: the deal, payment method and pickup are agreed between the seller and the buyer in the service's messages. Read more in the terms of service.

Species identification is always the responsibility of the seller and the buyer. Marjakori does not inspect products or identify species. Some wild mushrooms are lethally poisonous, and toxic species resemble edible ones — if you cannot identify a species with certainty, do not sell or buy it.

No — you can browse listings as a list and on the map without signing in. An account and a confirmed email address are only needed to post your own listing and to message a seller.

Yes — the description is free text, and Marjakori does not translate it automatically. Write it in the language you believe your potential buyers or pickers read. The product name (e.g. Mustikka, Puolukka) is chosen from the form and is always shown in Finnish, so your listing is found in searches and filters regardless of language.

Tip: you reach the most buyers with a bilingual description — your own language first and a Finnish translation below it. You can get a free translation from an AI chat (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini): paste your listing text and ask it to translate it into natural Finnish without changing numbers, prices or units. Check that the quantity and price are correct in the translation, and add it to the description before publishing.
